PERSONAL & IMPERSONAL PASSIVE VOICE

ACTIVE:

• They said that women live longer than men.

PASSIVE:

• Its is said that women live longer than men.
• Women are said to live longer than men.

Nota: podemos encontrar en la activa "They say/know/think/believe..." y en la pasiva se convertirá en "It is said/known/thought/believed...".

PASSIVE WITH 2 OBJECTS

ACTIVE:

• The teacher gave the books to the students.
• The teacher gave the students the books.

PASSIVE:

• The books were given to the students by the teacher.
• The students were given the books by the teacher.

PASSIVE VOICE

Así cambiamos el verbo de la activa a la pasiva (utilizaremos el verbo "to write" como ejemplo):

Nota: en la pasiva el sujeto se sitúa al final precedido de BY (= por).
